The product he pointed to and we've used ever since is OpenWiki, which you can download for free from http://openwiki.com/.
If you've ever tried to set up an internal website to document your project, and failed because it was just a little bit too much work to add or change content, then this is for you.
I set it up on my machine as a test, and it told me as I went what the various components I'd need to download from Microsoft were to get my machine up to spec.

I also don't like the fact that it uses IIS (but that's a personal viewpoint - why use IIS when Apache/Perl/PHP are free and robust?), but it does seem to be adding features very quickly and has some nice features already.
From my perspective, it needs to be rewritten in C# I think that there's some really good ideas in OpenWiki though.
All material on this collaboration platform is the property of the contributing authors.

There is a public development server currently at http://www.bamber.com/openwiking/ which you may want to look at.
I've also got a lot of experience with OpenWiki, having installed it in a number of places, and even posted a patch for OpenWiki on the OpenWiki SourceForge project site for uploading files without COM.
I have been using Lauren's Openwiki for over a year and have customised my installation a good deal.

MyXaml Wiki - Help On Macros
OpenWiki includes special operations called "macros" which are recognized if the name appears between a pair of left and right angle bracket <...> characters.
These are given directly following the macro name and are enclosed between a pair of left and right parenthesis (...) characters, separated by commas.
You can obviously create subdirectories within the images folder if you want to group together a collection of images.

 WakkaWiki : OpenWiki
Interesting, this appears to almost be a port of OpenWiki [http://www.openwiki.com/], in my opinion one of the best wiki engines around.
But the syntax is probably the cleanest I've ever seen, and there have been attempts to revive it.
This site uses most of the OpenWiki syntax, the macros are named the same, and even seems to re-use the visual diff capability.
