The popup window had a check mark by the block all ????(whatever it says there), and I just clicked ok because I did not have the option to block once, and I did not want to use Opera to access that port.
The option I checked was not to block Opera or all traffic, but to block a certain port.
The allow once or block once was greyed out, so in effect I was left with the only option of making a new rule, and I did not want to do that for this instance.

This is called browser sniffing and some webmasters abuse it to block browsers that are unknown or browsers they do not test with.
Opera's Open The Web project contacts webmasters who block Opera and asks them to consider making their site more accessible and sites that block Opera should be reported to them.
If a page thinks that Opera is IE or Netscape it may try to use code specific to either browser.

They tell you specifically what to look for so that Opera is detected as Opera, and not another browser.

I recently made the choice to switch from Firefox which I have been using for about a year now to Opera.
One of the best decisions I have made in awhile in my opinion.
yes you can google for this little addon called opera ad filter, works just perfect for me, and i have read that other people like it as well, so you might want to give that a try, and great choice congrats on your switch...

When i try to add "Block Image" via Browser Extension in Opera 8.5 i got blank screen of Ad Muncher and this picture won't added to filters!
It is all the same, moreover, now Opera block the popup of Browser Extension!
When i copy link to this or any picture and add this link to My Filters it's OK. When i try to block link to the page in Browser Extension it's OK.
