 Z Cars ~ Z History
Back-to-basics is the name of the game when it comes to sports cars, and for Nissan, it means a return to more of a performance orientation during the development of the next generation Z-car.
Named Motor Trend's "Import Car of the Year" for 1979, the 280ZX sets the all-time sales record for the Z line with 86,007 units sold.
Nissan, working with Steve Millen Sports Cars, produces a limited edition 25th Anniversary 300ZX Twin Turbo, the SMZ featuring a 365hp engine, larger wheels, bigger brakes, upgraded suspension and a large rear wing.

So the Ranger will be available as a regular or SuperCab (two rows of seats) model with two wheelbase choices and the option of two- or four-wheel drive with either Styleside (normal) or Flareside (kinda sporty) load beds.
Ride height on Edge Rangers is the same hiked-up 4x4 configuration regardless of the number of wheels that can actually be driven, and the Edge also gets a molded bed rail; an easily cleaned (it says here) vinyl floor interior; a 60-watt, four-speaker, CD-player stereo system; and 15-inch wheels and 235/75R-15 tires.

 FORDMUSCLE.com web-magazine - Electric Fan Installation for 5.0 Mustangs
This is fine for a strip car where you are constantly monitoring the temperature.
This meant that it must be thermostatically controlled, as well as having a manual switch option.
The fan also needed to have an AC activated switch (air conditioning places additional cooling demands, thus you want a fan that switches on automatically when then the AC is turned on.) Finally the fan had to be a direct, no-hassle, bolt in.

Graphics have improved and so has the sound [although the clattering and banging of the car can get a bit annoying after a while], the addition of buildings is a nice touch.
The option exists to dive in for a quick race, but the real dividends are reaped when you take on the WRC mode.
The rallies may be similar but all the stages are different from the original WRC game, so you are getting a 'new game' for your money.

Wildcat combined luxury, power in '60s
Buick said the 1967 Wildcat was a "performance car that looks like a luxury car,'' but Car Life magazine called it "more friendly than fierce.'' The Gran Sport option was gone, but the standard new 430-cubic-inch V-8 pumped out 360 horsepower.
Buick called the 1962 Wildcat a "torrid new luxury sports car,'' but it was too big and heavy to resemble a sports car and had plenty of upscale Buick's comfort items.
The 1965-69 Buick Wildcat was one of the big, spectacular 1960s American cars with powerful V-8s that combined lots of luxury with extraordinary performance.

2002-2005 Nissan Altima - Automobile Magazine
The Altima is the first car built off a brand-new platform that will see other uses in the United States and will spawn products in other parts of the world.
All Altimas have four-wheel disc brakes with vented front rotors, but ABS is a stand-alone option that also features brake assist and electronic brake force distribution.
The old Altima was too small to be a mainstream competitor to the Toyota Camry, the Honda Accord, and the Ford Taurus, even if you overlooked its lack of a V-6 engine option.

1970 was a complete redesign of the car to offer an all new updated look for this year only before changing designs to the later 'fuselage' design from 1971 through 1974 when the Roadrunner became just an option package.

2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx by Ann Job, Chevrolet midsize sedan, remote starting, - ROAD & TRAVEL Magazine
For example, the new Malibu is the only auto in the midsize sedan market offered with a factory-option remote vehicle starter, allowing a driver to start the car and, most importantly, the car's heater without climbing inside a frigid interior.
This new midsize vehicle, available in four- and five-door models, has pleasing but rather plain styling that would be expected from the popular Japanese family cars such as Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
Note that while the Maxx may hold more cargo than a Malibu sedan can because of a wheelbase that's 6 inches longer than that of the sedan the Maxx still is 0.5 inch shorter in length than the sedan, when measuring from front to rear bumper.

Engine swapping Nissan 240 SX and Nissan Skyline GT-S - Features - Sport Compact Car Magazine
With the engine mounted on the crossmember and the car high in the air, it's a simple matter of calling all your friends and neighbors over to shove your 720-pound drivetrain across the floor so you can lift it up into the engine compartment.
Finally, if you want the engine to sit low enough to clear the hood bracing, the shifter to sit where it used to, the steering shaft not to hit the downpipe and everything to bolt in properly, there's a third option.
Lifting the engine into the car, it's easy to crush countless wires and hoses.

Car and Driver Magazine - Ferrari 575M Maranello - August 2002
The 575M Maranello is an updated version of the 550 Maranello, the six-year-old car we recently favored over the brand-new Aston Martin Vanquish in a comparison test late last year (November 2001).
The clutch in the 550 was heavy and the gearchange stiff, and since the 575M uses the same gearbox (it does have increased airflow to the gearbox oil cooler and larger synchros for the first and second gears, but the ratios remain the same), we bet the new car would be similarly tiresome to shift.
Ferrari engineers opened up both the intake and exhaust tracks, bumped the compression ratio from 10.8:1 to 11.1:1, and fitted a drive-by-wire throttle — a mandatory addition for the use of the F1 gearbox.

Company Seven Introduction to Selecting a Questar 3-1/2 Astronomical Telescope
If a telescope is likely to be moved from a hot car or warm room to a cool environment, or from a cool room to hot night then it is best to specify a mirror material that does not present significant expansion concerns with temperature changes.
In September 1965 the first telescopic images of earth were reported in "Newsweek" magazine; these images were taken through a Questar from the Gemini spacecraft, and they were news because this was the beginning of surveillance photography from space.
The telescopes are so carefully examined and tested (optics, mechanics, electrical, and cosmetic) at Company Seven prior to delivery to a customer that a failure is not likely to be found.
