		Orange has recently released a new SmartPhone in the UK, France and Netherlands dubbed the SPV C500.
		It is the fourth handset in their “signature” phone series in that it carries their brand, although the phone is actually manufactured in Taiwan by HTC.
		The one (minor) gripe I have had is that the button placement could be somewhat awkward for those with large fingers or thumbs, although I doubt such a person would opt for a phone as small as the C500 in the first place.

		The Orange C500 Windows Powered smartphone is my 2nd Microsoft based phone I have had from Orange, the first one I started off with was the rather large in size E200 model shown below left.
		Orange have told me that a dock will get released in the future though, although there will be an added charge for it.
		There is one final change though, a faster OMAP 200MHz processor, this means programs run faster, load faster and the phone is generally nippier at everything it does, which is a godsend after some of the slowness the E200 showed when I got one.

		The C500 features the same amount of memory as the E200, but sports a new generation OMAP 200MHz processor, as opposed to the '132' MHz processor found in the E200.
		Orange are currently working on a fix that I am hoping will be available soon, but in the interim, the gaming situation on the C500 is quite desperate.
		Orange claim that a lot of work has been carried out on improving the Bluetooth Implementation, and although there are no visible software changes, tests I have carried out so far seem to indicate range and battery consumption are both improved on the C500.
