Molecular Orbital Theory -- from Eric Weisstein's World of Chemistry
The hybridization is named on the basis of the orbitals involved, and the hybrid wavefunction is the (renormalized) sum of the individual wavefunctions, where each addition may be with an arbitrary sign.
In some instances, a nonbonding molecular orbital may be generated for which the electron density is uniformly distributed between and on the sides of the nuclei.
The result, as the number of levels goes to infinity, is a band of bonding orbitals, and band of antibonding orbitals (known as the conduction band, since free electrons will exist here), possibly overlapping or possibly separated by a gap.

 Introduction to Band Theory
In solids, bands result from the overlap of atomic orbitals, much as molecular orbitals result from the overlap of atomic orbitals in small molecules.
A lower-energy bonding molecular orbital is formed by the in-phase addition (constructive interference) of the two atomic arbitals, and a higher-energy antibonding molecular orbital is formed by addition of two atomic orbitals of opposite phase.
Since each atom contributes a single 3s orbital, the number of molecular orbitals in the 3s band of a piece of solid sodium containing N atoms is N. According to the Pauli principle, each of these N orbitals can contain 2 spin-paired electrons.

Orbital became one of the biggest names in techno during the mid-'90s by solving the irreconcilable differences previously inherent in the genre: to stay true to the dance
Orbital returned Meat Beat's favor later that year by remixing "Edge of No Control," and later reworked songs by Queen Latifah, the Shamen, and EMF as well.
That summer proved to be the pinnacle of Orbital's performance ascent; an appearance at Woodstock 2 and a headlining spot at the Glastonbury Festival (both to rave reviews) confirmed the duo's status as one of the premier live acts in the field of popular music, period.

The equatorial plane precesses with a period of 25.8 Kyr and the orbital plane precesses with a period of 70 Kyr.
Considering the significant red noise background present in SPECMAP and the discrepancy in phasing between SPECMAP and precession, it is sensible that the amplitude modulation is derived from the interaction of the three main peaks and not from the presence of side-lobes.

Orbital were an English techno duo formed in 1989, consisting of brothers Paul (born 19 May 1968) and Phil Hartnoll (born 9 January 1964).
The band became known for their live shows, wearing their trademark head-mounted flashlights behind banks of equipment, and giving an improvisational element to live electronic music as the brothers mixed and sequenced their tracks on the fly.
Orbital is sometimes confused with The Orb, a similarly named band that has also been very influential in the realm of electronic music.

But don't buy that because eight years on, Orbital are as good as they were in 1994.

 Details
When constructing the molecular orbitals it is common practice to use the valence orbitals to form the molecular orbitals.
This results in an anti-bonding molecular orbital that is high in energy and tends to tear apart the molecule.
In an anti-bonding orbital, the probability of finding an electron in between the atoms is 0, and 1 for on one or the other atom.

Ultimately, the orbital frequencies are propagated into the climate record by "rectification" of the seasonal and/or diurnal frequencies by the climate and/or the climate recorder.
It is important to recognize that orbital climate cycles are largely the consequence of insolation rectification, and are not the direct response to insolation forcing.
Approximately 20% of the total rectified variance is transmitted into the orbital band.
