The importance of enforcing orders from other jurisdictions cannot be overstated and judges must be cautious not to give in to a common, and sometimes overwhelming, temptation to do what they feel is right, in a given custody dispute, once one of the parties has moved to the jurisdiction.

According to Manitoba Hydro, in order to arrive at a planned in-service date of 2009, construction for the proposed Wuskwatim projects had to begin before the winter road season (January-February) in 2004.
In January 2002, the Government of Manitoba announced that there would be Clean Environment Commission (CEC) public hearings in accordance with subsection 6(5) of the Environment Act for the Wuskwatim projects (see page 3 of the final EIS guidelines).
Manitoba Wildlands (CNF) was a participant in the review process for the Wuskwatim projects from the time Manitoba Hydro / NCN filed their Environment Act Proposal for the Wuskwatim Generation and Transmission projects in December 2001.

We were part of the 11 reports submitted containing relief efforts amounting to $5 000 in War Bonds and Stamps, $10 000 cash donated to the Red Cross and purchase of War Stamps, 18 875 hours of sewing for the Red Cross and we knitted sweaters, mittens, scarves, helmets, wristlets, afghans, shawls and stretcher covers.
This was also the year that the Grand Bethel of Manitoba was instituted and installed by the GB of SK GBHQ Glenys Reeves PHQ#8 SK presiding.
Manitoba was honoured to have Heather B. PHQ#5 serve as Supreme Bethel Librarian and another Daughter as a SBrep.
