Order of Merit of the Police Forces - Order advising that Letters Patent do issue establishing a society of honour in Canada to be known as the Order of Merit of the Police Forces.
Medals awarded to police officers are the Cross of Bravery (Croix de bravoure) which is the highest distinction, the Meritorious Medal (Médaille pour action méritoire), and the Medal of Devotion (Médaille de dévouement) which is awarded posthumously.
The Saskatchewan Order of Merit is the province's highest honour.
