Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite [Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy]
It is said that none of the orders are totally perfect; all the hierarchies thus mutually participate in a constant march, striving towards perfection.
Because although the lower orders do not participate of the higher orders per se, the illuminations of the higher orders do radiate all the way through to the lowest orders in a gradually decreasing brightness, therefore it can be said that the lower can receive the light of the higher in an indirect manner.
In the Bible, when Isaiah was purified by a Seraphim, it is not to be understood that he was in direct contact with such an immeasurably high order; what is meant is that the illuminating properties and powers of the order of the Seraphim had descended through the several intermediary orders to purify Isaiah.

Orders of knighthood, such as the Order of the Bath and the Order of the Garter, still exist in Great Britain.
British orders created in modern times—e.g., the Distinguished Service Order (1886), the Royal Victorian Order (1896), the Order of Merit (1902), and the Order of the British Empire (1917)—are decorations for civil and military service rather than true feudal orders.
Most European orders are graded in several classes, and the stars, crosses, ribbons, and other insignia corresponding to different classes vary greatly in aspect and value.

Urantia Book, Paper 39: Section 3 -- Supervisor Seraphim
It is the duty of the second order of supervisor seraphim to place before the constellation lawmakers a forecast of how any proposed enactment would affect the lives of freewill creatures.
But not always do these seraphim attain their ends; not always are they able to bring together those who would form the most ideal group to achieve a given purpose or to accomplish a certain task; under these conditions they must utilize the best of the material available.
General reserves of the supervisor seraphim are held on the headquarters of the constellations.

Order of the Cherubim is registerable if House Cherubim is released." Following the publication of the return, a timely request, including all admistrative requirements, was made for the registration of the order name and the release of the household name.
[Order of the Crystal] This is registerable since orders in period were frequently named after a physical object that was a symbol of the order, such as The Order of the Garter, The Order of the Swan, The Order of the Thistle, etc., and a crystal is a physical object.
Order names in period seem to have been based on tangible objects (such as the Order of the Golden Fleece) or on abstract concepts which members of the Order embody (such as the Legion of Honor.) The Order of the Dragon's Dream doesn't appear to fit either of these categories.

28:14): "Thou wast a cherub stretched out, and protecting, and I set thee in the holy mountain of God." Now the order of the Cherubim is under the order of the Seraphim, as Dionysius says (Coel.
Yet this must not be prejudicial to the other view; because there might be some motive for sinning in him also who was the chief of the lower angels.
Reply to Objection 1: Cherubim is interpreted "fulness of knowledge," while "Seraphim" means "those who are on fire," or "who set on fire." Consequently Cherubim is derived from knowledge; which is compatible with mortal sin; but Seraphim is derived from the heat of charity, which is incompatible with mortal sin.

Seraphim was formed as a free-jazz outfit in the Fall of 2003.
The result is a sound that rests almost entirely on dialog and conversation between the individual instruments – alliance, disagreement, misunderstanding, boredom, miasma, complete connection, it’s all in there.
“Seraphim” was chosen as an identifier for the group because of the simultaneous association with mythic concepts of heaven and creation – creating order from disorder – as well as with destroying angels, returning order back to chaos.
