
 Ordinal Numbers 
  For example, if ten students ran a race, the student who ran the fastest would be in first place, the next student wold be in second place, and then there would be third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth places. 
  The first ten ordinal numbers are : first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth. 
  Next to the ordinal numbers the students have written on their papers, the students write the name of the object that goes with the number.
