OR-210 was designated at the inception of the Oregon state route numbering system in 1935 along the Scholls Highway #143 between the small communities of Scholls and Raleigh Hills.
In my opinion, the Scholls Highway should be completely dropped from state mainenance, seeing as how all it does is connect OR-217 to Hall Blvd., but OR-210 should be kept along its entire route because it connects Beaverton to rural Washington County farm country and other destinations, such as Newberg.

 ORoads: Oregon Route 141
Once the OR-217 freeway was completed in 1972, the OR-217 designation was moved off of the Beaverton-Tualatin Highway #141 and onto the new freeway.
The only way for motorists to know that they're even on the highway is by noticing the mileposts on the side of the road, which are marked surprisingly well for a highway broken up by jurisdictional transfers; some even remain on city-maintained stretches.
The Beaverton-Tualatin Highway #141 has had jurisdictional transfers ever since the OR-217 freeway was built; the portion between downtown Beaverton and Progress was either transferred in 1972 or 1979; I'm betting on the former, but in any event, it was transferred by August of 1983.
