Following their contribution to the Marconi Point compilation a couple of years which was to raise funds for the Edinburgh based ACE organisation, the band now put on a fund raising live performance.
There was a support band for the night, but they were a token rock band that did nothing interesting and didn't have anything to do with Zoviet France or how the event was advertised.
This meant that there was a fair amount of disinterest shown towards the band, and having been advertised as a "punk" gig to a degree there were one or two moments of hostility towards the band (which they probably were unaware of).

The Organisation may be dissolved only at an Extraordinary General Meeting called for this purpose, the notice sent to members at least 2 weeks in advance of the meeting.

The band was formed in 1987 by Adam Agius (lead vocals/guitar), eventually teaming up with the present line up of Roy Torkington (guitar), Rodney Holder (drums/percussion) and John Bray (bass) which has been together since 1992.
The band is one of the best known Australian underground heavy metal acts, renowned for their unique combination of death metal, progressive rock, psychedelic, Eastern and electronic influences.
The band's current release is Austral Alien (released 2003), which is a clear display of their evolution, with a more polished and electronic influenced sound.

 Blackhall Youth Brass Band : History
Formed initially in the sixties, by Gerald Gregory, as a feeder band for the ailing Blackhall Colliery Band, the Youth Band was reformed in 1969 under the direction of "old Mr Gregory".
His enthusiasm and drive revitalised the whole organisation and the band was soon into the groove of winning contests.
The Band's first contest was the curiously named Teeside International Eisteddfod in 1972 on "Indian Summer" and the band came last, perhaps not surprisingly at the time.

 History of the Manx Youth Band
The Manx Youth Band was founded by the late T J "Jim" Crosbie, M.B.E., in 1970.
In October 1999 the Band travelled to Waterford in Southern Ireland as guests of the City of Waterford Band and in August 2001 the Youth Band and Manx Concert Brass undertook a Concert Tour of Northern Italy, the first time a combined tour has been undertaken.
In 1995, it's 25th Anniversary year, the Manx Youth Band Organisation formed Manx Concert Brass, a new band whose membership was not restricted by age.

The band program is an extra-curricular activity that involves payment of a band fee and once a student has joined the program attendance at all rehearsals and performances with correct uniform and equipment is required.
Any student, irrespective of previous musical experience, is welcome to come along and try out for the training band, however they are expected to undertake tutoring on their instrument if necessary.
Band fees are kept to a minimum and in 2006 they are $260 for the first child, $220 for the second child and the third child is free.

Over the years the band has had as any as five members from one family, four from others was not uncommon, as well as non-playing members in support.
Like most organisation the band has encountered difficult times and it was at one of these moments in1997 when the band was very fortunate in securing the services of Mr Mel Hopkin of Spalding as its Musical Director.
The band were awarded a grant of £1000 from the Prince's Trust, largely due to Mr Hopkin's efforts on the band's behalf.

Together with three other musicians, who played bass and various percussion instruments, Organisation managed to release an album on RCA/U.K. It was quite unusual for a British company to sign a German band at this time, especially with that experimental sound.
This was not very amazing, as Organisation mixed some half way conventional passages with wild percussion and alienated sounds.
Organisation disbanded in 1971 because of the well-known musical differences.

The Band was founded in its present form in 1906, although records suggest that a band existed in the village many years before that date.
On each occasion the Band has been awarded the Gold Medal, a record for the Festival and on the last two occasions in 1997 and 2001, they were crowned World Champions of their section attaining the Champions banner and medal of distinction.
The Band Practices in Ratby Village on the outskirts of Leicester, and are fortunate enough to own their own purpose built Band room facility which was made possible by fundraising within the Band organisation.

The band was formed in 1992 by Craig Benjamin, (jazz musician, composer, and band director), to provide an outlet for talented high school musicians on the north shore.
The band organisation was also formalised at this time with the registration of the Garigal Community Performing Arts Society Inc. After the tour, Craig began to shift the musical emphasis from a concert band repertoire to modern jazz.
Following the 2003 overseas tour, the band lost some members and so it was decided by the GCPAS Committee to transfer the Jazz Orchestra training and management to Gerald Steinmann, the leader of Big Toy band and well known music educator.

Hayley was the first junior band member to progress through to the senior band and was a very strong and talented cornet player who had great potential.
Hayley was never too proud to muck in and help us out at training band jobs and her talent and dedication to the organisation should be an example to us all.
She was very dedicated to the bands success and was always one of the first to arrive and last to leave rehearsals.
