Xenogears: Where Eternal Paths Cross - Xenosaga Review
Essentially Xenosaga is a prequel to a somewhat lesser known Squaresoft RPG that released in the shadow of Final Fantasy VII.
Xenosaga touched on quite a bit of this as well, and also brought into account the affect of psychology and the workings of the mind upon the understanding of the human will to exist and the drive to understand life and afterlife.
Xenosaga is not a game for little kids to play, there are cerebral concepts that I think would only be best understood by someone with a college level of education in Theology, psychology, literature, and mythology.

Xenosaga is the "spiritual prequel" to the sleeper hit many role-playing fans have come to love.
Xenosaga was at first speculated to have been a sequel of Xenogears but in actuality the designers of Xenogears decided that they wanted to start fresh, telling the history of the universe and time period Xenogears took place in.
Xenosaga will feature many cut-scenes that will pass along the storyline to the player, and these will be one of the major parts of the game, so those not satisfied with story driven RPGs should stay away from this one.

Xenosaga Episode III is a fitting, if convoluted, end to the cinematic science-fiction role-playing trilogy.
Monolith Soft's Xenosaga series is noted not only for its wordy German subtitles and lengthy cutscene exposition, but for its hugely complex storyline that's influenced by equal parts science fiction, religion, and myth.
Fortunately, Xenosaga Episode III manages to wrap things up in dramatic and mostly satisfying fashion for the memorable main cast and the universe that they inhabit, while simultaneously leaving the door open for a continuation.

Xenosaga: Pied Piper, a 3 chapter-long cellphone-based game depicting the history of cyborg "Ziggurat 8" 100 years before the start of Episode I, was released in Japan in July 2004.

Now, the gameplay of "Xenosaga" is way more complicated, with a huge variety of tactics available, but it never degrades into choosing the most powerful attack and using it every time - a kind of gameplay that is unfortunately very typical for most modern console-style RPGs.
The dungeons in "Xenosaga" are perfect in length, with some very entertaining puzzles spread across (my favorite one being the sounds puzzle in Song of Nephilim), and a balanced difficulty.
If there were less dialogues in "Xenosaga", such stuff would probably disturb no one, but there are a lot of them, and they are unfortunately not good enough for such a cinematic game.

It's because I like them that I don't want to see them reappear in starring roles, which would pretty much equate to squeezing as much cash as possible out of them at the expense of both the characters and the future games.
If all the villains and secret organizations and whatnot are just upstarts, it won't be nearly as engaging.
And about the organization thing, how could there be much of a history to it if there isn't really a history to this newer universe.

Unbeknownst to her however, many organizations are chasing after her as desperately as they're after her "children." It is obvious in the eyes of these organizations that she plays a large role in the Zohar Project, but what that role is has yet to be confirmed.
Though she is strong when it comes to acting as a mother to her child, there seem to be some issues that were left unresolved when she was a child.

 Sky Dive Networks: Xenosaga-Trilogy Review
Xenosaga is a RPG (role playing game) trilogy for the Playstation 2 which stands out with its unique way of storytelling and gives you the feeling as if you where a part of a huge interactive Sci-Fi/Fantasy movie.
Originally Xenogears was planned as a sequel for Xenosaga but due to rights and license issues they had to make it a game of its own which is very unfortunate since Xenogears has so far the deepest and most complex storyline in any videogame which covers a time span of more than 5000 years.
This last episode also shows clearly that the basic theme of the Xenosaga trilogy is pretty much exactly the same as in Xenogears.

Review of the game Xenosaga: Episode III - Also Sprach Zarathustra
Playing Xenosaga is like reading some ultra-complex novel with supernatural, sci-fi, and detective/mystery elements, all spiced up with fictional history, mythology, and religious ideas.
It is such a pity that the voice acting rarely reflects the tension of the moment or the power of feelings that the cut scene is supposed to express.
In many ways, Xenosaga tries too much: its story is over-complicated, and average script and voice acting do little to support it.
