 Organometallic Thermochemistry Database
The approach followed in the Organometallic Thermochemistry Database, was that, whenever possible, the enthalpy of each reaction would be listed in two different records: one involving all reactants and products in their standard states and the other involving all reactants and products in solution.
Unfortunately, there are too few cases where the thermochemistry of the same organometallic compound or of the same reaction have been probed by at least two groups or by at least two different experimental techniques.
Thermochemical data evaluation for organometallic compounds is still incipient [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] and it may well be possible that different selections will be made in future updates of the Database.

 The Organometallic HyperTextBook: Organometallics Defined
Organometallic chemistry is typically thought of as a subset of Inorganic Coordination chemistry, although it also plays an major role in Organic and Materials chemistries.
For the purposes of this journal, an "organometallic" compound will be defined as one in which there is a bonding interaction (ionic or covalent, localized or delocalized) between one or more carbon atoms of an organic group or molecule and a main group, transition, lanthanide, or actinide metal atom (or atoms).
Although most chemists refer to the field as Organometallic, some use other names either out of habit, to stress one part of it (the organic or the metallic), or to narrow the scope.

The Journal of Organometallic Chemistry has a long-standing tradition for publishing original papers dealing with theoretical aspects, structural chemistry, synthesis, physical and chemical properties including reaction mechanisms, and practical applications of organometallic compounds.
Because of the growing importance of organometallic complexes in bioorganometallic chemistry and material sciences, on one hand, and of heavier main group elements in organometallic chemistry, on the other hand, the scope of the Journal has been enlarged, and work covering these fields is also considered.
Short Communications submitted to the Journal of Organometallic Chemistry are important reports of unusual urgency or original advances in organometallic chemistry for which rapid publication is justified.
