Orica accelerates Indonesian plant - Business - Business - theage.com.au
ORICA, the world's biggest explosives maker, is moving quickly with plans to build Indonesia's first large-scale ammonium nitrate plant, firming its 80 per cent market share in the country.
Orica's Indonesian aspirations were frustrated for years by Omay Wiraatmadja, the chief of a state-owned fertiliser company that operates four AN plants on East Kalimantan.
Orica had just doubled its Yarwun AN plant in Queensland to 572,000 tonnes a year at a cost of $195 million and any plant built in Indonesia would essentially be a replica of the second stage just completed, an Orica spokesman said yesterday.

Orica sags on news of charges - Business - Business - theage.com.au
ORICA'S new chief, Graeme Liebelt, has wasted little time in making his mark, warning investors to expect a "significant restructuring charge" in the current financial year.
