Orleans Elementary students didn't have to go far to research their community's history.
Originally built as a dormitory for the Orleans County Grammar School, the Museum's collections are housed in a stately four story granite building constructed by the Reverend Alexander Twilight, circa 1830.
Born in Corinth, VT, Twilight went on to become the longest serving headmaster at the Orleans County Grammar school.

Jonathan was born about 1750, but probably not in VT. Daniel lived in Barton, Orleans Co in 1800 and was in the War of 1812 with a will at Barton.
He is not on War of 1812 site for Orleans Co. I have the records from the National Archives.
I am searching for records for my grandmother Josephine Bushman born in 1873 in Vermont, this is all I have at present any help would be greatly appreciated.
