Orthus gasped as he saw the dead bodies lying within and outside of the walls, not a living soul to be seen as flames were busily consuming the huts and the walls that had failed to protect them.

The survey, conducted by Orthus for EEMA’s “It’s A Wireless World” workshop held beginning this month in Zurich, highlighted that of the 193 networks identified, 79% were not using the established WEP encryption technology and 63% of the networks were easily identified by name.
The results reflect those found in similar studies carried out by Orthus in London, Milan, Berlin and Paris, all of which have proven that the frequencies, physical location and ownership of an organisation’s WLAN can easily be determined by inexperienced hackers from the emanations on the streets.

Hesiod, Homeric Hymns, and Homerica by Hesiod
So she conceived and brought forth fierce offspring; first she bare Orthus the hound of Geryones, and then again she bare a second, a monster not to be overcome and that may not be described, Cerberus who eats raw flesh, the brazen-voiced hound of Hades, fifty-headed, relentless and strong.
She was the mother of Chimaera who breathed raging fire, a creature fearful, great, swift-footed and strong, who had three heads, one of a grim-eyed lion; in her hinderpart, a dragon; and in her middle, a goat, breathing forth a fearful blast of blazing fire.
Her did Pegasus and noble Bellerophon slay; but Echidna was subject in love to Orthus and brought forth the deadly Sphinx which destroyed the Cadmeans, and the Nemean lion, which Hera, the good wife of Zeus, brought up and made to haunt the hills of Nemea, a plague to men.

WiFi Security Survey - Alarm Bells
A survey conducted at Europe’s only dedicated WLAN exhibition held at the Olympia in London, U.K. on April 6 and 7th 2004 found that 23% of companies surveyed don’t even require their WLANs to be password protected.
Orthus personally interviewed over 450 CEOs, MDs and IT, Finance and Security Directors representing hundreds of European businesses attending the event.
The results of the survey were surprising considering the amount of media attention recently given to the issue of wireless security and indicate that businesses continue to neglect the security issues associated with the deployment of WLANs despite the fact that the networks are used to process and stored sensitive business information.

Orthus was the Greek mythological two headed dog that guarded the cattle of Geryon.
When designing our Orthus, we wanted the design to appear slightly unearthly so we gave it glowing vents along its rib cage.
The first was to make our Orthus appear more beast like and less like a mutant dog and the second was it gave us the opportunity to apply a glow map to the fiery vents so the creature would be more visible in dark undergrounds.
