  CNN.com - Tapes shed new light on bin Laden's network - August 19, 2002
But he had not seen the tapes obtained by CNN and believes they were intended only for the eyes of the terror group's leaders.
Experts who were shown the tape by CNN had different theories as to what kind of chemical agent may have been used in the experiment.
Coalition intelligence sources who have examined the tape obtained by CNN of the dying dogs said this appears to be an al Qaeda experiment with lethal chemicals at the remote Darunta camp in Afghanistan.

 Osama bin Laden
Considered the world's foremost terrorist, Osama bin Laden is the leader of a terrorist organization known as Al-Qaeda, or "The Base." Bin Laden is the alleged perpetrator of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center, damaged part of the Pentagon, and resulted in a plane crash in Pennsylvania.
Osama was either the 17th son, or the 25th son, depending on various reports.
In subsequent tapes, he threatened that more attacks against "the infidel" will occur and warned that "America will not live in peace." Bin Laden's whereabouts remain elusive, but he is thought to be somewhere in Afghanistan or Pakistan.

New Osama Tape, Deeper Propaganda Twists
If the case can be made that the tapes are, in fact, manufactured by US intelligence agencies, it stands to reason that the words out of the mouth of the Osama image have also been conceived, written and planted by these same agencies.
It is a fact, that the current world war (and the "war on terrorism") has been waged for the purpose of seizing, occupying and controlling key energy and resource regions in preparation for the worldwide depletion crisis known as Peak Oil (see the extensive analysis of Peak Oil at From The Wilderness).
But because "Osama" is saying it, the Western public will reflexively dismiss the words as "radical fundamentalist hatred," and then rally around the opposite: Bush, continuing war and genocide against Muslims, and the absolute denial of power and rights to Muslims in occupied regions.

Osama bin Laden sits cross-legged on a rug, ready to deliver a diatribe against the US, when a Kalashnikov rifle propped on the wall behind him falls over and discharges, taking Mullah Mohammed Omar’s eye out and causing a chunk of cave to fall on bin Laden’s head.
Osama bin Laden, involved in an argument with his roommate, Ayman al-Zawahiri, over who gets the larger cave, throws a bowl of kabuli and threatens to "go jihadi on your ass." Al-Zawahiri tells bin Laden to "lighten up," and continues playing pool.

Reports on other tapes offered only unfulfilled promises that "technical experts would try to match the voice on the tape… with known recordings of Saddam", while others still merely conceded that "there was no way to independently authenticate the tape".
While the taped messages supposedly sent out by Hussein and Bin Laden were seldom at the forefront of the debate to go to war, they were instrumental in creating a climate of fear in which pro-war rhetoric flourished.
And it is precisely for this reason that these tapes demand the same level of scrutiny as any other piece of evidence used to propel the world towards this conflict.

Osama bin laden had a mild, gentle and somewhat weak voice that reflects the Arabic dialect used in Saudi Arabia which is not present in the December tapes.

9/11 Blogger - Blogging 9/11 Related Alternative News: Osama Bin Laden - Diabolical Boogeyman, or Government Scapegoat?
With the release of a new audio tape purportedly from Osama Bin Laden I thought now would be a good time for a quick summary on this international man of mystery.
In a story he says he resigned from the agency to tell, Gary Berntsen recounts the attacks he coordinated at the peak of the fighting in eastern Afghanistan in late 2001, including how U.S. commanders knew bin Laden was in the rugged mountains near the Pakistani border and the al Qaeda leader's much-discussed getaway.
Just as the appearance of Osama Bin Laden before the last election, the tape today helps re-enforce the base of the Bush administration's support structure, and supposively proves he is alive and well (keep in mind that there still hasn't been any video of Bin Laden since 2004).
