A lot of people predicted the Conservative minority, but the results in Oshawa came down to the wire - I can say this with some authority because I was at the returning office watching Sid and Colin's teams sitting on the edge of their seats and practically jumping every time new numbers were unveiled.
Oshawa had a 64.3 per cent voter turnout and after Sid Ryan vauled to an early lead with the south Oshawa polls, the Conservative incumbent pulled closer and began to pull away at the mid-way point.
