Ostrogothia Grand Regiment, Östergötlands storregemente (also Regiment of the Land in Ostrogothia, Landsregementet i Östergötland) was one of the nine grand regiments organized by Gustavus Adolphus in the late 1610s and split into smaller regiments in the 1620s.
Raised from fänikor in the province of Ostrogothia and in the county of Jönköping in 1618 and counting 3,000 men (at the time, it counted 2,176 men).
In 1623, the regiment was split into three smaller regiments, Ostrogothia Infantry Regiment, Jönköping Regiment and the Ostrogothia Cavalry Regiment.

Ostrogothia Cavalry Regiment, or Östgöta kavalleriregemente is a Swedish Army cavalry regiment that traces its origins back to the 16th Century.
In 1619, these smaller units where organized into the Ostrogothia Grand Regiment, and in 1623, this grand regiment was spilt into three regiments, one of those being the Ostrogothia Cavalry Regiment.
It was merged with the Ostrogothia Infantry Regiment in 1791 to form the Life Grenadier Regiment.
