As a consequence of a large landslide in the Tully Valley, Onondaga County, New York, an investigation was undertaken to determine the factors responsible for the landslide in order to develop a model for regional landslide susceptibility.
The Tully Valley landslide was the largest in New York in the past 75 years (Fickies, 1993).
A statistical model was developed to represent the susceptibility to landsliding in a study area in part of Onondaga County, New York.
