		The OTR button now has icons in addition to text to indicate what state a conversation is in.
		There's also the OTR proxy, which is supported on Linux, Windows, and OS X. The OTR functionality is separated into the Off-the-Record Messaging Library (libotr), which is an LGPL-licensed library that can be used to (hopefully) easily produce OTR plugins for other IM software, or for other applications entirely.
		The Off-the-Record Toolkit, the gaim-otr plugin, and the OTR proxy are licensed under version 2 of the GNU General Public License.

		I'm 34 myself, and got into OTR when I was about 20 listening to FEN Radio in Japan (I wasn't with the military, but I caught it on my radio nonetheless), but only a couple of years ago discovered the wonder of the massive collections in MP3 format.
		Spent many years earning a living and only listening to otr on Saturday (local station here runs Those were the days) and when I would occaisionally find tapes and later cd's at local stores.
		The first OTR I heard was some cassette tapes around age 13 or 14.
