Otsego county was officially established on February 16, 1791, with Cooperstown as its county seat, even though the village of Cherry Valley was at the time much larger.
Otsego and Cherry Valley together roughly covered the area of modern Otsego County, while Harpersfield covered the area south of the current county, as far a the Delaware River.
Otsego County is in central New York State, to the west of Albany, southeast of Utica, and northeast of Binghamton.

 Cooper's Inheritance: The Otsego Country and its Founders
OTSEGO COUNTY, which was largely settled through the efforts of that genius in land speculation William Cooper, and which was Fenimore Cooper's home in boyhood and later life and the setting for some of his best-remembered books, lies, buskin-shaped, in east central New York State.
When a famine threatened to wipe out the Otsego settlement in the spring of 1789, he contrived a method of catching shoals of herring in the Susquehanna, and obtained from the legislature money to buy 1,700 bushels of corn, which was brought in by horseback and distributed to families according to their size.
Otsego County and its villages have had the usual complement of local histories, few of which are outstanding enough to deserve mention.

Thanks to people talking about the otsego install files being infected i ran some scans and thanks to pinged the system was infected with crap (by mistake), so i spent today fixing this and cleanin all the files, soooo all files are now clean!
Well with otsego 2.0 being worked on I had to come up with a way to load.Net classes into aim.
Due to complications, otsego will still be a socks proxy, I did however fix the problems that the proxy had in version 1.

The Otsego County Conservation Association (usually abbreviated OCCA) was founded in 1968 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of natural resources within Otsego County.[1] Founder Frederick H. Mecklenberg, known as "Mecky" to friends, remained an active force and an inspirational figure in OCCA from its earliest days until his death in 1991.
The primary goals of OCCA are to support and promote the conservation of Otsego County's natural resources; to support and publicize conservation-related educational programs; to cooperate with similar organizations and with all levels of government to "promote maximum benefit from privately owned rural land;" and to enhance appreciation for rural living.[2]
