Owens Park is a 1.05 acre mini park located in the historic Sycamore Neighborhood, a 101-acre area within the greater Collister Neighborhood in northwest Boise.
The canal runs along the northern boundary of the park, and is still used to irrigate surrounding properties as well as for irrigation at the park.
Once known as Walnut Grove Park, Owens Park was donated by Paul and Grace Owens in 1975 to forever be used for park purposes.

Owen's Park is well sited in Manchester, close to major road connections and with rail and bus stations a shortish (say 10 mins) bus or cab ride away.
Owens Park required us to confirm room numbers two weeks before the con, and would charge us for that number plus any extras: they were quite willing to take on extra room requests up to the opening day of the con.
Owens Park were quite happy for day attendees who were not staying on-site to be at the con provided they had a full fire list and our assurance that these people would not sleep on-site.

Gambrill State Park has its beginnings when public-spirited conservationists of Frederick County purchased this tract of land on Catoctin Mountain and donated it to the City of Frederick to be used for a municipal mountain park.
On September 7, 1934, the City presented the acreage to the State for use as a state park, which was later named to honor the late James H. Gambrill, Jr., a Frederick resident and leading advocate of the conservation of natural resources.
Gambrill State Park comes alive in the spring, with the flowering of many trees and shrubs, highlighted by the blooming of the dogwood trees in late May and the abundance of the beautiful mountain laurel's large white flowers in early June.

MOULTON — A motion to accept bids for lighting two ballfields at Jesse Owens Memorial Park died for lack of a second, further delaying the park's ability to become self-sufficient.
