  Keighley and Worth Valley Railway - Keighley, Haworth, Oxenhope
The area beyond the new buffers was then landscaped to make a car park which has been paved in sets with the help of a joint initiative with Bradford Council.
It was originally intended as a locomotive running shed but it was decided that this should remain at Haworth and it has since become used for carriage restoration.
In 1982 a buffet car was purchased from BR and positioned permanently between the goods shed and the station building with access from the platform.

  Bradford Model Railway Club - Oxenhope
We are modelling Oxenhope, which is the terminus station of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, as it was between 1945 and 1955.
Oxenhope consists of a single platform with run-round loop and goods facilities.
As a point of interest, when the branch was built the structures and track bed were constructed to double track standards to allow an extension via a long tunnel to Hebden Bridge.

  Oxenhope Conservation Area
Oxenhope stands at the head of the Worth Valley and is situated 1 mile to the south of Haworth.
The parish of Oxenhope was formed in 1845, the church of St Mary the Virgin being built and consecrated in 1849.
Oxenhope was probably one of the many medieval/post-medieval scattered settlements to be found on the Pennine uplands, that comprised small groups of dwellings rather than nucleated villages.

My father was vicar of St Mary The Virgin in Oxenhope from 1970 until his retirement in 1987, when we moved to Frizinghall on the outskirts of Bradford.
Born in Bradford in 1971 and raised in the village of Oxenhope in Brontë country, I attended Coventry University between 1990 and 1994, where I studied Modern Languages (German and French as core languages and Russian ab initio), with a third year spent between Potsdam, Germany and Grenoble, France.

In the years since reopening not only has the KWVR developed into one of the country's premier 'heritage' railways it has continued a tradition of service to the communities along the Worth Valley, operating rail services on almost 200 days per year.
The 0 milepost is on the site of the former Keighley Station Junction signal box, approximately 2 chains to the east of the present connection with the national rail network.
Provision also exists for unlocking an Annetts key at Keighley South ground frame to institute "Keighley Station Yard Working", which enables the Keighley station area, between 0m and 03m, to be worked as a separate section.

It was on the lathe that the museum’s founder, the late Jersey inventor Don Pallot, started his career and developed his love of both railways and engineering innovations.
Amazingly, he has also found his admittedly dark but atmospheric photo, taken a year or two later, when Stanier 2P 0-4-4 tanks were drafted in for a few weeks to run the branch passenger service.

This is a dependent of Emley Moor and sits on the edge of Oxenhope Moor overlooking the Worth Valley which is famous for its Bronte connections and the Worth Valley Railway as featured in the film 'The Railway Children'.
Oxenhope serves the southern part of the Worth Valley, most of which cannot receive the Keighley relay due to screening by local hills.
The third picture shows the horizontally polarized trough which looks at Emley Moor - this is at the top of the mast as Oxenhope does not quite have line of sight to Emley Moor despite being nearly 1200 feet above sea level.
