PAOK was re-established in Thessaloniki in 1926 as the continuation of the Hermes Athletic and Cultural Association of Constantinople (founded in 1875), when most of the native Greek population of Turkey was expelled between 1922-1926.
PAOK are also known to have one of the most fanatical supporter bases in the World.It is estimated that PAOK fans are totally about 8,000,000 (2,000,000 in Greece and 6,000,000 in other countries such as Germany, Australia, the USA, Russia and more).
