PC End Points for Rate Sessions   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-23)
On the Statistic tab in a Rate session, if you are calculating trends, you must set PC End Points to "One Year" or "Two-Year Average".
If PC End Points is set to "One Year", then the initial rate is the first year of the range and the end rate is the last year.
If PC End Points is set to "Two-Year Average", the software uses an unweighted average of the rates for the initial two years and last two years in the range for PC End Points.

Methods - Points Created   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-23)
Points Created is a system developed by Bob Bellotti used to rate individual players using all available box score statistics.
The aim of Points Created is to redistribute points to players based on their box score stats, and the total points scored in the NBA is within a couple percentage points of the total Points Created.
More importantly, the Points Created formula uses a "Value of Ball Possession", which is the same as Points Per Minor Possession, as a method of weighting various statistics.

A DETAILED LOOK AT HIT POINTS
The math simply points out what is happening and how one may perceive their character's hit points and injuries and healing spells or even natural healing.
This knowledge will allow you to visualize hit points and injuries better and see how they are perhaps more realistic than you thought, but in actual practice, you never actually need to do any of these calculations during a game for anything, or even at anytime after you are done reading this.
Then, only after a character's hit points surpassed his or her first hit dice worth of hit points and thus be completely healed (physically) would their vast reservoir of quasi-hit points begin to accumulate.

A PC must face and realize she faces a serious threat for an action to be heroic.
A player may use Hero Points in one of three ways: to modify a die before it is thrown, to modify a die after it is thrown, or to re-roll a failed die roll.
A PC may use a combination of Hero points and Winner certificates (die bump certs) to increase the result by a maximum of +5 (or +25%/d100).
