 GameSpy: Battle Engine Aquila Review
If you've already played Battle Engine Aquila (BEA) when Atari brought it out on PlayStation 2 or Xbox earlier this year, you probably don't need to read any further -- Encore's PC version (also developed by Lost Toys) is essentially the same experience.
Perhaps serving as proof that the PC take is a direct port from the earlier console versions, much of the concept art awkwardly displays logos for Lost Toys and Infogrames -- the publisher's corporate name before the Atari moniker was revived and what it was called during the game's development.
It doesn't push the PC to the limits of its capabilities, but it does provide an entertaining old-style contest that at times will have you at the edge of your seat.

GamerFeed : Reviews : PC : Battle Engine Aquila
Battle Engine Aquila is certainly worth playing as a mindless shooter, or as a low-priced budget game, but with the badly ported multiplayer that is clearly not meant for PC, this title doesn't have the fuel to keep itself in the air.
Battle Engine Aquila was a so-so game on the consoles, and now Lost Toys has ported it over so it can become a so-so title for the PC.
Toss in the fact that the limited multiplayer hardly seems appropriate for PC gamers (unless they enjoy crowding around the same monitor) and things start to look worse and worse for the Aquila.
