		Pepco Holdings, Inc (or "PHI" NYSE: POM) is a holding company incorporated in February of 2001 for the purpose of effecting the acquisition of Conectiv Power Delivery by Potomac Electric Power Company (better known as 'Pepco').
		The acquisition was completed on August 1, 2002 at which time Pepco and Conectiv became wholly owned subsidiaries of PHI.
		Pepco Holdings was placed at 288th on the 2005 List of Fortune 500 companies, an index of American companies ranked by gross revenue.

To prepare the Ryceville to Chalk Point pipeline segment for the internal examination, PEPCO launched a cleaning and sizing/gauging tool from Ryceville on April 6, 2000, and from Chalk Point on April 7, 2000.

The overflight resulted in visually ascertaining "a four-acre oil spill" in the marsh area of Swanson Creek at approximately 6:00 p.m. At 6:17 p.m., PEPCO staff confirmed the presence of the oil by visiting the Swanson's Creek.
