PGE Park is anti gun - Oregon Concealed Carry   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
I tried to explain what CONCEALED means, and the issues of getting to and from the park, she said she didn't care about that, and didn't care how many states had background checked me, or how clean my record is, then said goodbye as she hung up the phone.
Because parking at PGE is so bad, I drove to a park-n-ride and then took the train to the ballpark.
Make no mistake about it, however, PGE Park is not gun-friendly, and from the insulting comments made by Claudia Augsburger, I have no doubt that if they somehow found you carrying in the park (why would they?) they would charge you with trespass or anything else they legally could.

Loaded Orygun: Coming Through for PGE Park Workers, Finally
The situation here involves a lack of good oversight regarding the contract the City made with the new managers of PGE Park, who neglected to write in the fair wage requirement that had been kept with the previous contractors.
The City insists on fair wages paid to employees working for the City under private contract (parking garage workers, for instance), so without the provision in the PGE workers' part of the deal, they are unique in being paid around seven bucks an hour to work for the City.
The most troubling thing leading up to the first council reading on the wage subsidy vote is that that Park employees were threatened to be fired if they contacted the mayors office about the upcoming vote after a few workers started talking about it and handed out a few flyers before work.
