		The PMK formula is designed as a universal developer for a wide variety of modern emulsions used under diverse conditions.
		Note: When PMK is mixed together, the solution will immediately proceed through color changes from gray-green to pale amber.
		The conventional temperature for film development is 68°F/20°C. During the summer month in many parts or the country, cold tap water is often much warmer than 70°F. To bring this temperature down with ice cubes is inconvenient, to say the least.

	To PMK or not to PMK
		PMK may not be the magic bullet for all shots, but I was certainly impressed with the way it handled this scene, which was shot on 5x7 Tri-X. I plan to experiment more with it.
		PMK gave me an easier to print neg (I don't use variable contrast papers) that had all the edge sharpness and micro edges in the print that were just not there with other developers.
		The only drawbacks I found with PMK were the lack of pushability in the contrast department but that can be adjusted with the addition of 1/8th TSPN of Amidol to the working solution.

		I was under the impression that the second bath of depleted PMK was necessary as a "normal" part of the PMK development process, guess I need to read that section in the book again as I have had it wrong all year.
		I have been using the new Tri-X with PMK for the last several months and (for me, at least) it stains just the same as the old Tri-X. I have used the same same development times as I always did (8-3/4 minutes at 70 degrees), a water stop bath, and non-acid fix.
