		North Korea began its invasion of South Korea armed largely with Soviet weapons such as the Model PPSh41, and a variety of Japanese weapons captured by the Soviets.
		Designed by George Shpagin to meet desperate need, following the USSR's bitter war with Finland and the invasion by Germany, the PPSh submachine gun utilized the simple blowback action, and fires from the open bolt position.
		At that time they also began extensive manufacture of their own models of Soviet weapons, such as the Chinese burp gun, using the box magazine for reasons much the same as the USSR.

		Before welding the plate, I placed a PPSh mag in the mag well and noted where the top round was in relation to the ejector.
		Then, placing the Sten mag into the well, I positioned the plate with the bar so the top round is in the same position as the original mag and spot welded the plate/bar to the rear of the Sten mag.
		The Suomi box mags were easier since the lockup on the rear is identical to the PPSh mag lockup but slightly larger.

	PPSh 9mm
		My PPSh works very well in 9x19, but only after a lot of experimentation, a couple of trips to the doctor's office to get pieces of brass taken out.
		Make sure when you are trying different magazines for functioning, to hold the weapon so that the ejection port is facing at an angle, thereby if an 'out of battery' firing occurs, the resulting brass shards will not propel in your direction or toward someone standing next to you.
		There have been many who have converted the PPSh to 9x19 with none of the problems as I have mentioned above; however, I feel it is important to mention what happened to me so you can be aware of potential dangers and thus avoid any injury.

		Sometimes with the PPsH you get hit in the face with your spent casings, and the finish and quality of the weapon is generally lower overall, but there really isn't any gun I'd rather have in a close assault.

		PPSH: It is a spray and pray, and the 71 rounds makes it a little rediculous.
		The PPSH, only because you need to owto aviod hails of enemy bulets to spray, and getting that "Lucky Headshot" takes more skill than running around pointing the shotgun at anything that moves.

		High rate of fire, high capacity (71 round drums!), extreme reliability due to simple construction, much more power then any common pistol round (special PPsH only loadings of the 7.62x25: 2000fps+), plenty of ammo (corrosive lasts forever!), easy to take down, compact, better range then a normal smg, and mean looks.

		What an awsome weapon- is a bit heavy by SMG standards but with no recoil and a cyclic rate that is outa this world, was devastating on steel- man sized targets.
