 PRR Q1 at AllExperts
PRR Q1 The Pennsylvania Railroad's class Q1 comprised a single experimental steam locomotive for freight service, #6130, built in March 1942.
The tender, although given a freight locomotive's "doghouse" on the rear deck for the head-end brakeman, was otherwise a streamlined affair very similar to that used on the S1, S2, and T1 passenger locomotives.
It was assigned to the St. Clair Avenue Enginehouse in Columbus, Ohio and ran mostly in the Ohio area and to Chicago, Illinois.

At 25 inches long the Railking S2 captures the look of the prototype very well, from the boiler front, to the spacing of the drive wheels, to the detailed cab and the large 16 wheel tender.
No discussion of the S2 would be complete without mentioning other, recent releases of the Pennsy giant.
The MTH S2 is a terrific locomotive that runs as good as it looks.  If there was one item I could change it would be to add backup lights to the tender - the detail is already molded in.

PRR Is Critical for the Correct Folding and Secretion of Downstream SP Domain-- Seven expression plasmids were transfected into S2 cells.
Clearly, PRR is important for the folding and, hence, secretion of the serine protease.
Thus, whereas PRR is crucial for correctly directing folding and secretion of the downstream glycosylated SP domain, chaperones and foldases also play a role in enhancing protein folding, to ensure that the modular arrangement of the glycosylated protein is properly folded to remain soluble or targeted for secretion and to exhibit full functionality.

In contrast to the contemporary PRR locomotives and cars were several examples of historic equipment, including a wooden Cumberland Valley Railroad Combination Coach originally built in 1855, six late 19th Century wooden passenger cars, and a class H3 freight steam locomotive built in 1887.
Penn Central had other plans for the bulk of the artifacts and by September of 1969 it appeared that a significant part of the PRR collection was earmarked for inclusion into the collection of the National Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, Missouri.
The PRR collection was moved piecemeal with the first locomotives arriving in October of 1969 and the other pieces arriving in various stages through 1975 when the first section of the museum exhibit hall was completed.

Associations between cancer and occupation are assessed using the proportional registration ratio (PRR) calculated with adjustment for age (in 5-year-old age groups), social class (using the six-category British Registrar General's classification), and region of registration (13 regions).
PRRs are shown when statistically significant at the 5% level and are ordered according to the magnitude of the lower 95% confidence interval (CI).
For publicans and barstaff, statistically significantly raised PRRs were seen for cancers of the mediastinum, oropharynx, gum, ill-defined lip and pharynx, lung, and cervical cancer.

The first experimental duplex on the PRR was the S1, a huge rigid frame duplex locomotive of the 6-4-4-6 wheel arrangement.
The wheel arrangement of the S2 was originally to be 4-8-4 when the design was completed in 1941, but since the Second World War broke out, the original idea of using light weight materials for certain components was banned by the Government.
When the S2 began it's life, it had no smoke lifters, but soon acquired a pair of small lifters, but apparently, these weren't adequate, so a larger pair was added later.

While the S2 still had a firebox and boiler and still generated steam, the pressure was run through a turbine instead of reciprocating cylinders to make power.
Despite its high-speed efficiency, the S2 still retained many of the high costs of operating a steam engine.
