  PSK Mushroom :: Introduction
PSK can improve cancer survival by restoring and enhancing cellular immune functions in patients with depressed immunity associated with profound immunosuppression due to radiation and/or chemotherapy or surgical stress after curative resection of cancer.
PSK does not interact with other drugs nor affect hepatic drug-metabolizing enzyme activities indicating that drug efficacy is not affected by PSK when used with other medications.
PSK is most effective when combined with a front-line anticancer treatment regimen (chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery) for patients with various types of cancer.

PSK and PSP, polysaccharide compounds isolated from Coriolus, were shown to improve immune function in patients with certain cancers when used in conjuction with chemotherapy.
PSK was combined with chemotherapy to measure its effects in patients undergoing surgical removal of operable breast cancer.
Radiolabeled PSK or its metabolites are detected in the digestive tract, bone marrow, salivary glands, thymus, adrenal gland, brain, liver, spleen, pancreas, and tumor tissue in sarcoma-bearing mice.

Phase-shift keying - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Phase-shift keying (PSK) is a digital modulation scheme that conveys data by changing, or modulating, the phase of a reference signal (the carrier wave).
In PSK, the constellation points chosen are usually positioned with uniform angular spacing around a circle.
Since the data to be conveyed are usually binary, the PSK scheme is usually designed with the number of constellation points being a power of 2.

 PSK Explained.
For binary PSK, BPSK, each individual bit is encoded in a phase shift of an agreed-upon period of the carrier cosine signal.
The PSK signal encodes the signal in shifts of a cosine.
A final point necessary for understanding the ideas that follow is representation of PSK signals on a plane, where the x-coordinates correspond to the cosine projection of the PSK signal, and the y-coordinates, to sine.

CancerGuide: MedLine Search: PSK, a non-toxic anti-tumor polysaccharide
The PSK effect was observed with PSK concentrations of 10-100 micrograms/ml that could be obtained in the blood of cancer patients who received standard oral administration of PSK.
Since in resected mice the antitumor activity of PSK against the right and left tumors was weakened, the regional lymph nodes and the spleen probably have a very important role in the antimetastatic effect of intratumoral administration of PSK.
Oral administration of PSK increased the number of Peyer's patches that developed relatively well, and led to recovered mitogenic response of lymphocytes from gut- associated lymphatic tissue and responsiveness to oral preimmunization with SRBC in tumor-bearing mice.

PSK definition - isp.webopedia.com - The Glossary for Internet Service Providers
Short for phase-shift keying, a modulation technique used by modems in which different phase angles in the carrier signal are used to represent the binary states of 0 and 1.
The digital signal is broken up according to time into binary digits and the state (1 or 0) of each bit is determined according the state of the bit that preceded it.
There are more complex forms of PSK that rely on four or eight phases to transmit data at a faster rate.

Non Small Cell Lung Cancer: One randomized study of PSK as an adjuvant to radiotherapy showed an increase in 5 year survival from 16% to 39% in stage I and II disease and from 5 to 16% in stage III disease.
Another study of PSK as an adjuvant to chemotherapy showed an increase in the response rate in stage III disease, with a modest improvement in survival, but no benefit in stage IV disease.

PSK is not a session key: it is a key that is used to derive static long-lived keys for EAP-PSK.
This PSK is used, as shown in Figure 2, to derive two 16-byte static long-lived subkeys, respectively called the Authentication Key (AK) and the Key-Derivation Key (KDK).
In case the error is not detected by EAP- PSK, it should be detected then (please note however, that it is bad practice to rely on external mechanism to ensure synchronization, unless this is an explicit property of the external mechanism).

Brute-Force and Dictionary Attacks Use of a fixed shared secret of limited entropy (for example, a PSK that is relatively short, or was chosen by a human and thus may contain less entropy than its length would imply) may allow an attacker to perform a brute-force or dictionary attack to recover the secret.
For the PSK ciphersuites, an attacker can get the information required for an off-line attack by eavesdropping on a TLS handshake, or by getting a valid client to attempt connection with the attacker (by tricking the client to connect to the wrong address, or by intercepting a connection attempt to the correct address, for instance).

 Intro to PSK
In the context of amateur radio, it describes a family of operating modes (each of which has a slight variation in the signaling parameters) that are used for keyboard-to-keyboard contacts.
Binary PSK transmits one bit at a time, using one of two possible phase states.
The classic PSK hardware configuration is a computer with sound card, an SSB transceiver, and an interface between the two (for audio signals and sometimes PTT).

The test circuit for the PSK macro is displayed above.

 What is phase-shift keying? - a definition from Whatis.com - see also: PSK, PSK31
- Phase-shift keying (PSK) is a method of digital communication in which the phase of a transmitted signal is varied to convey information.
There are several methods that can be used to accomplish PSK.
The main advantage of PSK31 is its excellent signal-to-noise ratio (S/N or SNR), which allows communication under adverse conditions such as severe fading, noise, or interference where other communications modes fail.
