		The console was redesigned and relaunched in 2000 as the PSone, and last year, Sony announced that 103 million units had been shipped globally.
		Sony has already confirmed that the PlayStation 3 will be backwards compatible with PSone games, as is the PS2.

		The 4 inch PSone TFT LCD screen has to be one of the greatest peripherals ever created.

		The other big talking point of this firmware release is the introduction of support for “PlayStation Network titles.” This refers to the imminent introduction of downloadable PSOne titles, which will sit on your memory stick and are played through emulation on your PSP (see our previous coverage).

	Install a touchscreen for Linux
		If you are installing a PSOne LCD, the easiest way to arrive at a proper modeline is to use a Windows based-PC and the PowerStrip tool (which provides advanced, multi-display, programmable hardware support to a wide range of video cards; see Resources).

		The PSOne version fares the worst of the lot (unless they have yet to announce a ColecoVision version), but it still plays incredibly well and it perhaps reaches the limits of what a PSOne can do.
