PV Comics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PV Comics is a website featuring free and subscription-based comics for the web, as well as print comics.

Webcomic - Encyclopedia.WorldSearch   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-17)
Web comics run the gamut from traditional cartoon strip styles to an electronic emulation of manga or graphic novels and beyond, using the web's inexpensive costs and low entry barrier to begin publication, seek an audience and, in some cases, advance sequential illustration as an art form.
While newspaper comic strips have to be comprehensible to the average reader, the huge potential audience provided by the Internet allows much more specialization, as can be seen in the rise of such genres as video game-oriented comics or transsexual biographies.
These types of comics should not be confused with ones that use pixel art, an artform where the artist draws his own low resolution artwork from scratch.

COMICON.com: MEET THE 12 OF PV COMICS
Primarily because I've done comic strips online, and they were labeled webcomics, when they were also in newspapers, and then I'd do some comicbook work online and they were also called webcomics, but it seems to me that there ARE two different audiences, one for strips, and one for more comic book page looking work.
It's a humour comic with an ensemble cast of characters: Spuños, a (kind of) robot of ancient origins; Pfeiffer, who people seem to identify as a devil (possibly due to his pointy tail and horns); Mitsu, a blue pixie; Pablo, a cactus; and Backhouse, who is just a guy.
A comic of mine graced the pages of a monthly anthology at one point, however that didn't work out so I hauled my epic fantasy called "Reman Mythology" to my website, where it's currently being updated with a page a day (you can read it, if you'd like, at http://www.felaxx.com).

Posted on Thursday, February 17, 2005 - 12:00 AM PV Comics is expanding and adapting for the new year.
In moving towards a print focus late last year, PV has published eight books, including the recently available, VOID #2, the second in their flagship anthology title.
To support the print books, PV is also going full steam ahead with brand new weekly and monthly comics including new titles like FREE LUNCH by Joe Dunn, MATRICULATED by Joe Dunn and Phil Chan, and FISH TANK TANGO by Irvsher Fabor — all of which are already running.

Trickle of Consciousness - Digital straw men
On unsolicited: anyone who expects a reviewer to go googling her way across the internet on the off chance of finding a cool new webcomic to review is just as frighteningly naive as the self-published print comics creator who expects said reviewer to run into his low-circulation book at the local comics shop.
In print comics, it gives the reviewer time to peruse all the material and still write up a cogent assessment before (or at) the on-sale date.
Whereas print comics are usually a few months ahead of their shelf issues (at least), webcomics rarely have so significant a buffer.
