Birger Sulsbrück was born in 1949 in Vester-Skerninge on the island of Funen, Denmark.
As a percussionist, Birger Sulsbrück also works with various Latin, jazz, and fusion groups, and as a studio musician playing on radio and TV shows and recording sessions.
Birger Sulsbrück has formerly worked with bands such as: Cox Orange, The Danish Radio Big Band, John Steffensen Latin Orchestra, Blast and with artists such as: Nana Vasconcelos, Bobby Watson, Juan Pablo Torres, Knut Kristiansen, Dave Hassell and Apitos, Harold Danko, Zakir Hussein, Gustavo Bergalli, Bob Mintzer and Hector Bingert.

A racer in Argentina, Birger did a deal with Amedee Gordini to rent a Simco-Gordini for the Argentine Grand Prix of 1953.
Two years later he did a similar deal for the 1955 Argentine Grand Prix and qualified well but then spun on the first lap and was hit by the Maserati of Carlos Menditeguy.

 Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery
The exhibition and special events were cooperatively curated by the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery and Raymer Society staff.
There will be a series of lectures and regional exhibitions related to this exhibition by nationally recognized artists and art curators on the variations of Raymer's artistic vision.
A lecture by Pablo Helguera, who will relate how artists are affected by travel, how his art has been affected by travel, and how numerous visits to Mexico and New Mexico affected Raymer's art.
