Hawai'i Pacific University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and plays in the association's Pacific West Conference, the PacWest.
The Pacific West Conference was formed in 1992 by the merger of the Great Northwest Conference and the Continental Divide Conference.
When the Pacific West Conference was formed by the merger of the CDC and GNC in 1992, it was comprised of seven schools.
