Padiham is a small town (population of 8,998 according to the 2001 census), on the River Calder amid the hills of north-east Lancashire, England, situated approximately three miles to the west of Burnley and south of Pendle Hill.
Padiham was an urban district until 1974 [1], and a civil parish again since 2002.
Today Padiham is well served with good bus links to Burnley, Blackburn and Preston, a Co-op and a Somerfield supermarket aswell as many local stores.
