This theory isn't shared by many Pagans who believe that the shrinking of sales and sections is due to a bad economy and a glut of bad books.
The current trends in Pagan publishing seem to be exhausting themselves and readers both young and old seem ready for a new focus in what books we want to see.
Pagan scholar Chas Clifton is finishing up a historical study of American Paganism called "Her Hidden Children", there are rumors that Ronald Hutton may be working on a history of Druidry in England, and Isaac Bonewits has books on the history of Druidism and Witchcraft coming in 2006.

Pagan markets are more receptive to electronic submissions, yes; some other fields (again, speculative fiction stands out) are also this far along, but most of the mainstream markets aren't.

Pan's Land of Mirth - Responsible Pagan Authorship and Publishing
Pagan parents know that children are often not ready to handle the responsibility of leading a magickal life.
I'm just suggesting that we, as a mature and responsible pagan community, hold ourselves accountable for the often harmful material that is being passed into the hands of the unsuspecting and unknowing - our children, the children of non-pagans, the initial seekers of true knowledge.
We as pagans have often turned away prospective seekers because of their age, telling them to wait "until they are older." Well, that is part of the reason for our current dilemma.

John Tynes is co-owner of Pagan Publishing, and co-creator of the Call of Cthulhu supplement Delta Green, which many consider to be one of the greatest supplements ever made for any role-playing game.
Since DG was published in 1997, Tynes has created his own game worlds, equally as vivid and compelling as his CoC material, in Atlas Games' Unknown Armies and the short masterpiece Puppetland.
I decided it was finally time for Pagan Publishing to produce an RPG, and I asked Dennis Detwiller to do it because I knew he was a writing machine and had a lot of great game ideas kicking around in his head.

Delta Green - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Delta Green is a setting for the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game and was created by Adam Scott Glancy, Dennis Detwiller, and John Tynes of the Seattle gaming house Pagan Publishing.
The group was introduced in the seventh issue of The Unspeakable Oath, a Call of Cthulhu fanzine created by Pagan Publishing, in early 1993.
On May 1, 2006, the Pagan Publishing homepage was updated with an announcement describing the reasons for the delay of the new release of Delta Green, and stating that the d20 edition of the game should be available in time for Gen Con Indy.

I have come to believe that much of the brilliance of Pagan Publishing has come from the amazing editing skills of John Tynes.
Pagan's publishing schedule may have been slow, but the quality of the writing has consistently been top-shelf.
I believe this has primarily to do with the presence of John Tynes as an editor; scenarios in Pagan Publishing supplements are consistently excellent, and frequently better than the work by the same authors that appears in Chaosium's books.

 Desperate Times, Desperate Measure
Other Pagan elders have wound up homeless and living on the street over the last few years and I really didn’t want to join them, but I sincerely feared that that was exactly what was going to happen if we didn’t get some help fast.
Other Pagan elders were also having serious trouble, hundreds (if not thousands) of Pagans had been “downsized,” and millions of others were (and still are) suffering in this supposedly “recovering” economy.
But if you know any Pagan authors, leaders, or teachers in your city or town, call them up and see if they need any groceries, household supplies, help with the rent/mortgage, clothes for their children or grandchildren, or just plain company.
