		Muslims say Paiania is too far away for the minority, which is mainly based in central Athens, but their options are limited.
		However, the Greek people, especially residents of Paiania where the mosque is planned to set up, are still angry at the plans to establish the Muslim worship place.
		Paiania Mayor Paraskevas Papakostopoulos said residents are angry that the mosque site is on a hill, meaning the mosque will be visible from far and seen by visitors flying into the airport.

		At that time the mayor of Paiania, close to the Socialists, accepted the plan, but his conservative successor Paraskevas Papakostopoulos, elected last year, has said the choice of his town was "arbitrary," and got the local council to reject it.

		the images of Paiania allowed me to identify the house ogf my brother in law (half way up Hymettos) and the images were so precise as to let me view the fountain in the plateia in Paiania.
		The Greek views are better in some ways than those here in Ontario, since the tree cover here obscures details that are clear and precise in Greece.
