Pakse has a population of around 60,000 and is the 4th largest town in Laos behind Vientiane, Savannaket and Luang Prabang.
Pakse is in southern Laos so the climate tends to be more hotter and humid than Vientiane and Luang Prabang.
The girls in Pakse have a darker tan and they are probably not as pretty and sexy as the girls from the higher parts of Laos, but southern Lao girls are more traditional Laotians and they are very kind, honest and trustworthy people.

Founded by the French as an administrative outpost in 1905 this is a relatively new town at the confluence of the Mekong and the Se Don river (hence its name which means "mouth of Se" river).
