The Paris Hall of Justice (Palais de Justice de Paris) is located in the Île de la Cité in central Paris, France.
It is built on the location of the former royal palace of Saint Louis, from which the Sainte Chapelle still remains.
The Conciergerie is notable in part because Marie Antoinette was imprisoned there before being executed on the guillotine.

Notice how decoration increases the higher the wall is. The great Corneille, Rouen’s dramatist son, must often have thumped the inside of the Justice palace when addressing the court as a lawyer.
