Palgongsan is located in the north eastern region of Daegu as the backdrop of the city.
The most frequently visited place in Mt. Palgongsan is the Donghwasa Temple.
If you take the Palgongsan Circular Road and head for the west slope of the mountain, it leads to Gasansanseong Mountain Fortress, Hantijae Pass, and Songnimsa Temple.

We arrived to Palgongsan, parked the car, and started towards the gates.

I couldn't see farther than a few feet in front of me. Then, snow clouds surrounded me. Today, rain clouds enveloped me. I knew that at the bottom of the mountain lay Daegu, but none of the buildings were visible.
I knew to the north was Palgongsan, but couldn't see even the most prominent peaks.
I rested, feeling as though I was in lukewarm steam room.

In Mt. Biseulsan Park, there is a plain four kilometers in diameter where the blossom of the azalea and purple eulalia offers exquisite scenery in the spring and fall.
It was built by monk Geuk-Dal in the 15th year of the Silla King SoJi’s reign (493).
Behind the statue are also stones arranged in a circular form like a scroll painting.

At Gwanbong, the southern peak of Palgongsan mountain, sits Gatbawi Buddha, the Buddha of Medicine.
Carved sometime in the 9th century, the statue has become one of Daegu's chief tourist attractions.
