Apparently there is a Pallas' type warbler in Lowestoft without any yellow tones, and no crown stripe.
Hence it is probably a very washed out Pallas` Warbler.

 Yellow-browed Warbler - Phylloscopus inornatus
The Yellow-browed Warbler is a rare autumn migrant to Portland, that is often, but not always, found in tit flocks frequently also associating with Goldcrests and Pallas's Warbler.
As with the somewhat similar but rarer Pallas's Warbler, 'Yellow-broweds' are best looked for from the public footpath through the wood beside the Pennsylvania Castle (a large private house) at Wakeham, and at 'The Hump' - a huge earth mound covered with sycamore trees just off Avalanche Road at Southwell.
Careful note should be taken of Yellow-browed Warblers seen in November - the much scarcer Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler has also been seen here at this time, and may well have been overlooked in the past.

Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler, Locustella certhiola, is an Old World warbler in the grass warbler genus Locustella.
It is very similar to the Grasshopper Warbler, but is slightly larger, has white tips to the tail and tertial feathers, and a warmer brown rump.
The song is not the mechanical insect-like reeling produced by the Grasshopper Warbler and some other Locustella warblers, but an inventive Acrocephalus-like melody.
