	UFMG - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		UFMG is located on the north part of Belo Horizonte, in the neighborhood of Pampulha, near Pampulha Domestic Airport and Mineirão stadium.
		Inside the Pampulha Campus there is a federal institute for Nuclear Research called CDTN which has 38 buildings, 50 laboratories and includes a 250 kW research Nuclear Reactor built in 1960 called TRIGA.
		The streets inside the campus (Pampulha) are all coblestone and they have been slowly substituted for pavement.

	Oscar Niemeyer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		In 1940 Niemeyer met Juscelino Kubitschek, who was at the time the mayor of Belo Horizonte, capital of the state of Minas Gerais.
		He and Minas Gerais Governor Benedito Valadares wanted to develop a new suburb to the north of the city called Pampulha, and commissioned Niemeyer to design a series of buildings to be known as the "Pampulha complex".
		In Pampulha, Niemeyer started to mark his style: he used the structural properties of the armed concrete to give sinuous forms to the building.
