National Action Party (Mexico) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The PAN spent its first years since its foundation in 1939 in opposition, as all presidents since the end of the Mexican Revolution were from the PRI or its variously named predecessors.
The PAN officially claims to be a non-confessional party in a country that is 90% Catholic; however, while on the campaign trail in 2000, Vicente Fox appeared holding a banner emblazoned with the revered icon of the Virgin of Guadalupe – and was fined MXN $20,000 for mixing religion and politics.
In contrast, 2004 did see the PAN win for the first time in Tlaxcala, defeating the PRD in a state that would not normally be considered PAN homeland; it also managed to hold on to Querétaro and Aguascalientes.

There were talks in late 2004 that the KMT and the PFP would merge into one party in 2005, but these talks have been put on hold.

Blue-Green Alliance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This alliance may occur as a result of the Conservative view that market economics help preserve the environment and a tendency toward Deep England views of pastoralism, and the Green view that profit is not anywhere near as much of a threat to natural systems as debt.
In the context of the politics of the United States, the term refers to alliances between labor unions and environmentalists, and sometimes specifically to cooperation between American Greens and blue-collar labor activists.
One such example is the Blue Green Alliance[1], a grouping of officials, staff, and activists from organized labor and major environmental organizations representing more than nine million members, including the nation's largest union and largest environmental organization.

For example, Mr Chen was forced (largely by the continued media focus on the scandals) to defend himself against the accusations made against him as part of the recall motion, in a televised speech on June 20th.
During his speech he said the attacks on his competency were subjective, highlighting the fact that many of the government's economic policy initiatives have failed owing to the pan-blue alliance obstructing the required legislation in parliament.
If the current attacks on Mr Chen are viewed by the public as justified (suggesting the majority of the public agrees with the pan-blue alliance's view that Mr Chen is incompetent), the DPP would suffer at the polls.

TAIPEI - The furor surrounding Taiwan's presidential election is a symptom of the dysfunction of the opposition, the political alliance and uneasy marriage of convenience known as the pan-blues.
The final possibility for the pan-blue alliance is that it would disintegrate and be forced to reconstitute itself into a new group of political parties altogether.
This seems unlikely, given that the base of pan-blue support is large and active and the small margin of victory for the governing pan-greens and the ensuing chaos mean that the pan-blues have a cause with which to motivate their supporters.
