Max Nettlau : Panarchy. A forgotten idea of 1860 (1909)
Historical precedents for panarchism abound and go back much further (but they are NOT discussed in MOST history books), in the form of personal law associations, capitulations, the millet system or djemma, special courts for foreigners and consular jurisdiction).
Since the radical freedom lovers are almost everywhere a small minority and have little chance, in the short run, to convert all the statists to their point of view, they should be the first ones to adopt this program.
It is also the cornerstone for any rightful and efficient peace, defence, revolution and liberation effort, since it could turn most of the resources of any dictatorial or totalitarian regime against it and could do so without driving the regime into a corner, ready to undertake mass murderous steps.

For a long time I have been fascinated by the thought how wonderful it would be if at last, in public opinion on the succession of political and social institutions, the fateful term "one after another" would be replaced through the very simple and self-evident "simultaneously".
Panarchism is something like the red thread going through my series.

John Zube : Further Notes on Panarchism and Anarchism
Panarchists have friends, neutrals and allies everywhere - and very few fanatic enemies - because panarchism favours exterritorial autonomy even for fanatic dissenters and all their followers, as long as they do apply their fanaticism only among themselves.
Panarchism can realize what is rightful among the aspirations of terrorists and can thus turn them from their indiscriminately destructive and murderous activities into creative ones.
Such a framework is inevitably panarchistic and would offer to all kinds of anarchists the full chance to realize their particular ideal for themselves.

Another important ramification is the fact that any social structure is permissible under anarcho-capitalism as long as it is formed by a voluntary contract between individuals.
Therefore, radically different "governments" and sub-economies can form, creating a panarchic society.

THE EXTERRITORIAL IMPERATIVE: Info on Panarchism/Exterritoriality ~ all the solutions leading to Peace and Prosperity!   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
To make exterritoriality and panarchism work, we need in common only a world-wide consensus on the most basic natural individual rights, expressed by the Zero Aggression Principle, the Equal Freedom of All, Reciprocity, the respect for each individual's life, corporeal intactness and self-ownership.
Richard C.B. Johnsson's great essay is the best I read so far, even in a way the first, which really has all the qualities to make people understand that cause of exterritoriality and panarchism and hopefully convince them, a thing that so far has mostly been very difficult.
For the visitors of specifically this one among my sites it should be interesting to hear that this epilog contains in one sentence the essence of panarchism, as I noted in my German introduction (permanent link: http://www.butterbach.net/blogs/de/archives/00000064.htm).
