The most famous among the different Pancharatna Kritis are those composed in Telugu

CHENNAI: The Pancharatna kritis of Purandhara Dasa, the five selected kritis of the saint composer, were rendered by V.L. Sudharshan and his team of musicians at the Kannada Sangha hall at Ayanavaram on Thursday.
Similar to the Pancharatna kritis of the saint composer Thyagaraja, these kiritis were set in the order of ragas Nattai, Gaula, Arabi, Varali and Sri ragam.
The Pancharatna kritis — Narasimha endo deva (Nattai), Hela barathe buddhia (gaula), Vasudeva ninna marmaga mangala (arabhi), Sathyajagathisthu panjabedhavu (Varali) and Ninna Dasa nare nano (Sri ragam) — were rendered by the group in a pattern similar to Thyagarajar's Pancharatnas.

I have been told that the grand choral rendition of the pancharatna kritis has quite a soul-stirring experience (figuratively speaking, debates on whether you believe in the existence of a 'soul' won't be entertained).
If all of Michalengelo's genius can be found in one single 'Creation of Adam', then one could extend that to Thyagaraja and say that all of his genius can be found in his Pancharatna Kritis.
I have this rendition of the Pancharatna Kritis by some unknown group of people -- a mix of male and female voices.

 Saint Thyagarajar :: Life History of Thyagarajar
Saint Thyagarajar was born in Tiruvarur in the Thanjavur District on 27th Chaitra, Srvajit, a Sukla Saptami corresponding to 4th May, 1767 according to one tradition and 1759 according to another tradition and named after the presiding deity (Lord Thyagaraja) of that temple town.
He also composed the Shreeranga Pancharatna in praise of Ranganaata of Shreerangam and 5 kritis in praise of Sage Naarada.
The Pancharatna Kritis are the most representative of Saint Thyagaraja's art as a composer.

The morning session featured 'Pinchu Ratnangalin Pancha Ratnam' where the 'Pancharatna Kritis' were rendered by children.
On 22 January, a goshtiganam was held where several leading musicians rendered the pancharathna kritis.
A procession with the idol of Thyagaraja was taken to Marundeeswarar temple in Thiruvanmiyur and students of music sang the Pancharathna kritis along with musician Rajaraman (Director, Kalakshetra) at the Kalakshetra campus.

Recently, DVDs and VCDs of Saint Thyagaraja's Pancharatna Kritis and the 'Nauka Charitam' have been brought out.
Five kritis of Pancharatnam are compiled from the DD recordings of five different year's celebration.
It gives the viewers an overall glimpse of the annual aradhana in which a large number of musicians take part at the samadhi of this saint-composer on the banks of the river Cauvery.

These are very traditionally-oriented performances, perhaps slightly less articulate than what one might want, but with a good strength.
I might also wish that the Pancharatna Kritis themselves were given slightly more expansive renditions, at the expense of leaving off the other tracks, but again they are effective demonstrations.
(The Pancharatna Kritis are the middle five tracks.)

The Thyagaraja Aradhanai festival was held recently at Tiruvaiyaru and the Pancharatna Kritis (five gems of the saint) are sung as an annual ritual by all the current day carnatic musicians.
Having been exposed to it thru Doordarshan as a young boy, I have heard the five kritis sung by such stalwarts as MS, Semmangudi and several others but hearing it on the sax must count for a truly different experience.
MusicIndiaOnline has the one by Kadri Gopalnath (of "Duet" fame) and it does sound different having been used to the voice version all along.
