 | | The work of the proposed panelists covers a range of issues of gender in gaming at a number of levels, including the design of games that specifically address issues of gender-inclusiveness, as well as scholarly work on such issues as gender representation, cross-gender play, gender and game space, and emergent game cultures. |
 | | The discussion will also cover essential issues in game-making, such as the underlying gender biases in the game engine architectures and modding tools, and core assumptions in game studies, such as the position that games must be competitive and conclude in a state of “winning,” a highly gendered perspective. |
