Durch einen doch etwas größeren Zufall stieß ich dann 2004 auf die Mekafi und der dort unterrichtete Stil: Balinado Eskrima Pangamut sprach mich sehr an und ich blieb dabei.
Dennoch versuche ich mich nicht auf diesen einen Stil zu versteifen sondern bin bemüht auch über den Tellerrand zu schauen und mich für andere Kampfkünste zu begeistern.
Vor einigen Jahren bin ich durch einen Freund zur philippinischen Kampfkunst Eskrima gestoßen.

Maybe i have not been exposed to 'proper' pangamut or Filipino boxing.
Panantukan and Filipino Boxing a basically the same thing, one is spoken in English and the other in a filipino Dialect.
Pangamut I am led to beleive is the name used for the FMA by the Visayans at the time of the Spanish Invasion of the Philippines.

Ihm fiel recht schnell meine veränderte Bewegungsqualität auf und er versuchte daraufhin im Rahmen zweier Partnerübungen (Einzelstock und Pangamut) mich für mein "Fremdgehen" zu disziplinieren, was in der Folge zu zwei Trainingsunfällen mit ihm als Leidtragenden führte...
